in my day job, i am mostly behind the scenes. (i know, crazy that a rocker likes to be behind the scenes!) anyway, that sorta changed last month when i had the awesome opportunity to flex my journalistic skills at the 2012 Black Girls Rock! Awards show for VIBE Vixen.

i had a prime place on the pink carpet with videographer/photographer Karl Ferguson (who shot the video below) and celebrity photographer Johnny Nunez to capture some AMAZING quotes from the likes of Gabrielle Union, former Essence editor-in-chief Susan L. Taylor, Debra Lee and La La Anthony.
